Comparison of iOS 6 vs iOS 7 – Features and Review

After a long wait, the iOS 7, Apple’s latest mobile operating system is available. In just a few days of its release, this OS has found its place on the Apple’s mobile and tablet devices of many. User Interface
The biggest change in the iOS 7 is in the user interface part. The new OS is simpler and cleaner in look as compared to iOS 6. New app icons are there with less texture on them, which makes iOS 7 flatter than the iOS 6. The iOS 7 has thinner NavBar, thinner toolbar and uses smaller fonts as compared to iOS 6, but still, quite interestingly, the amount of displayed content is nearly same on both OS.

Apps

A big improvement is there in the Weather app. The Weather app in the iOS 7 gives you current weather info whenever you open it. The Weather app in iOS 6 looks like a mockery because of having box around weather information, but on the contrary, the same app in iOS 7 looks more realistic, as it does not have any such box.

The Calendar app has also been revamped. In the iOS 7, when you are in Month view, the daily events are not shown, unlike what happens in iOS 6.

The camera app has been blessed with many improvements in it. Just simple swipe across the image viewer and you can select whether to click pic in any of possible options, or to record video. Filters like Noir, Fade and Chrome make the camera app of iOS 7 far better than that of iOS 6′s.

There is little downside in the photo app of iOS 7. Images are ordered in Years and Collections. This makes tough to find the intended photo. Moreover, any picture saved from the web get the date when it was uploaded. Means, date of your downloading that pic is not used.

Multitasking
Improvements are there in multitasking of iOS 7 over that of iOS’s 6. Safari’s new card-based interface make it easy to switch between the opened windows. Windows of all opened apps can be accessed in no time by double tapping the Home button.

Control Center
Quick access menu for popular apps and functions is what is eye-popping change in iOS 7. Swipe up from the bottom of screen to access Control Center. This is done to save the time of user, and is totally inspired by Android.
